HD. v PERSONNEL BOARD ACTION CITY AlNa CITY MGe It is recommended the City Council affirm the action of the Personnel Board as set forth in Personnel Board Resolution No. 3. ITEM EXPLANATION: TONY V. =OS appeared before the Personnel Board on January 14, 1982, to appeal his dismissal from city employment. The Personnel Board heard the appeal and sustained the dismissal, Personnel Board Resolution No. 3. A copy of the verbatim transcription of the hearing is available for review in the office of the City Clerk. FISCAL IMPACT: The estimated fiscal impact consists of staff time involved in scheduling, hearing, and transcribing the board action. RAMOS. WHEREAS, the Personnel Board of the City of Carlsbad, California, met on January 14, 1982, to hear the appeal from termination of Tony V. Ramos; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Board heard evidence and argument presented by the city, Mr. Ramos and his representative; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Board after consideration of all the evidence and argument finds Mr. Ramos was a good employee and should be a good employee in the future, however, the city cannot condone theft even among its best employees. Therefore, the board recommends that the decision of the City Manager should be upheld in the matter of the termination of Tony V. Ramos for cause of theft of city property. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Personnel Board of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That foregoing recitations are true and correct. 2. That the termination of Mr. Ramos should be sustained.
