Staff recommends Council adopt Resolution No. tori.lo , awarding the
bid for the luminaires to Dardanella Electric Corporation, 2337 Vineyard
Avenue, Escondido, California 92025, in the amount of $7,420, plus tax, for a total of $7,865.20.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The 1981-82 Budget includes funds for the purchase of fifty-three high
pressure sodium luminaires to be used in new installations in the La Costa area.
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to
Bidders was published and Request for Bids was made. ~our responses were
received, opened, witnessed and recorded on April 19, 1982.
The lowest responsive bidder for the luminaires was submitted by Dardanella
Electric Corporation, 2337 Vineyard Avenue, Escondido, California 92025,
in the amount of $7,420, plus tax, for a total of $7,865.20.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Twelve thousand, four hundred eighty-eight dollars ($12,488) is available
in the Street Lighting Special Supplies Account (15-206-2670) for the
purchase of fifty-three luminaires.
