Introduce Ordinance N0.3Ia-2 restricting parking on both sides
of Hosp Way from El Camino Real to Monroe Street.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The striping plans approved for the Pueblo del Oro and Buena Woods
called for "non-parking". This condition needs to be confirmed by
ordinance. Parking on this street needs to be prohibited for
the following reasons:
1) Sight distance is extremely poor due to the numerous
curves and intersections;
2) Left turn pockets will be needed.
Some signs have already been installed, however it is necessary to
confirm this situation by ordinance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
A cost of $1,'000 is estimated for approximately 30 - No Parking - Any - Time signs.

CARLSBAD MUN I C IPAL CODE BY THE PAENDMENT OF SECT1 Ot1

10.40.049 TO PROHIBIT PARKING 0E.i HOSP WAY FROM EL CANING
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordai-5 as
fol lows:
SECTION- 1: That Title 10, 'Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Hunicipal Cade
is amended by the amendment of Section 10.40.049 to read as follows:
"10.40.049 Parking restricted on Hosp Way. Parking of vehicles is --. prohibited during al! hours of the day and night on both sides of Hos;, W.!
from El Camino Real to Monroe Street."
EFFECTIVE DATE: lhis ordinance shall be effective thirty days afrsr
its adoption, and the City Clerk.shal1 certify to the adoption 3f this
ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in the Carlsbad Journal
within fifteen days after its adoption.
