On May 18, 1982, J .w. McRoskf!Y withdrew' building permit #81-485 for the pur,P.Ose
of consturcting a shell building for a £uture bank located at 2219 Palomar··
Airport Road. Subsequently, Mr. McRoskey has changed his plans from the
construction of a shell-type building into the ·construction of a complete''bank
strµcture, thereby voiding building permit #81-485. Reimbursement for the
construction permit fees paid on pei:mit #81-485 is due to Mr. McRosKey at
this 'time.
A request has been made bv Andrex Development for a' refund of f.ees in the
amount of $818,40. This ~efund,is for an overcharge of plan check fees on
permit #82-70 located at 2261 Cosmos. The original plans were not clea.c as
to the intent of the construction.
On October 9, 1981, Baker Electric Inc. paid on perm;t #81-381, $1,604.00
in electrical permit fees for work at 6352 and 6354 Cort,: de Abeto .
. SubsequeritlY,, on October 23, 1981, Baker Electric erroneously duplicated
payment of these electrical pe.rmit fees on permit #472 and #473;'
Reimbursement for this duplicate payment is d~~ to Baker Electric Inc.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total of these refunds will decrea~e revem1e collected in 1981-82 1->Y
$7,590.10. However, the refund of fees pr~viously collected does not
seriously impact the city's fi~cal position.
