RECOMMENDED ACTION: If Council wishes to make adjustments in cornpensation for Council appointed officials for the Year, your action is is to a adopt Resolution No. If Council does not wish to adopt a final salary plan at this meeting, it should adopt an interim salary plan for the 1982-83 Fiscal Year. To adopt the interim plan, your action is to adopt Resolution No. (A723 . ITEM EXPLANATION: Attached to this agenda bill are two resolutions. Resolution No. bq2q adopts a compensation plan for the City Attorney and the City Manager for the 1982-83 Fiscal Year. Resolution No. 6q23 and the date of adoption of if it is not compensation plan for the attorney and manager at this meetin it should fill in the appropriate blanks on Resolution No. bqd' before adopting it. Also attached for Council's reference is a copy of the compensation plan for the 1981-82 Fiscal Year. adopts an interim salary plan for the June 30, 1982 adopted by Council at this meeting. L423 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAHLSRAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING INTERIM SALARY PLANS FOR THE CITY FOR THE 1982-83 FISCAL YEAR. WHEREAS, the City Council and the Council appointed officials are engaged in a process of negotiations regarding salaries for the 1982-83 Fiscal Year; and WHEREAS, it is unlikely that the negotiation will be concl.uded before the start of said year, and it is desirable to continue negotiations past that date; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary in order to adopt a preliminary operating budget to establish an interim salary plan ; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the Compensation Plan for Council appointed officials for Fiscal Year 1981-82, as adopted by Resolution No. 6594 is hereby adopted as the interim salary plan for 1982- 83 Fiscal Year, 3. WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to make adjustments in compensation for Council appointed officials; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci 1 of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. . 2. That the Salary Schedule for City Council appointed officials for the 19131-82 fiscal year shall.be as follows: City Attorney $1766 Bi-weekly City Manager $1862 Bi-weekly 3. City Council appointed officials shall receSve the benefits of the Management Compensation Plan for the 1981-82 fiscal year, effective June 7, 1981, except: A, Section H shall not apply. The City Attorney shall beeauthorized to receive the amount of $115 per month in lieu of coverage under the City's health and medical insurance plan provided by Section J. 4.
