RECOMMENDED ACTION:
If Council wishes to make adjustments in compensation for Council appointed officials for the 1982-83 Fiscal Year, your action is is to a adopt Resolution No. 6924 .
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Resolution No. 6924 adopts a compensation plan for the City Attorney and the City Manager for the 1982-83 Fiscal Year. The salary increase is 7%. The Manager receives a $1,000 bonus.
Other provisions of the salary plan for the Manager and Attorney
remain the same.

RESOLUTION NO. 6924
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A COMPENSATION
PLAN FOR COUNCIL APPOINTED OFFICIALS FOR THE
1982-83 FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to make
adjustments in compensation for Council appointed officials;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the'City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Salary Schedule for City Council appointed
officials for the 1982-83 Fiscal Year shall be as follows:
$1890 Bi-weekly
City Manager $1992 Bi-weekly
3. City Council appointed officials shall receive the
City Attorney -
benefits of the Management Compensation Plan for the 1982-83
Fiscel Year, effective July 1, 1982, except:
A. Section H shall not apply. Separation of the City
Manager and City Attorney is controlled by Municipal Code
Chapters 2.12 and 2.14 respectively.
B. The City Attorney shall be authorized to receive
the amount of $115 per month in lieu of coverage under the
City's health and medical insurance plan provided by Section J
until such program is revised at which time he shall receive the
amount of the subsidy for employee plus two dependents.
4. The City Manager shall receive a car allowance of $250
per month. The City Attorney shall receive a car allowance of
$225 per month.
5. The City Manager shall receive a bonus of $1,000.

City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on the 6th day of
July , 1982 by the following vote, to wit:
