ITEM.'EXPLANATION:
:.The Bngineering'Department at the request of Housing and
Redevelopment has prepared plans and specifications for improving
-.and Grand. This program can be considered administratively exempt 8s
downtown alley and parking loc, between Roosevelt and State and Elm
i3 ,-mointe.bance program for environment or coastal clearances. This
improvement will increase the efficiency of the parking areas and
improveagsthetics of the alley and surrounding parking areas. A11
utility. departments have been notified.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
INVITE BIDS.POR.DOWNTOWN PARKING LOT, CONTRACT
NO. 1'1 2 2,' ~.. .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Car1sbad"has
determined it is necessary and in the public interest to
construct and improve downtown parking8 and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishing
of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and
other expenses necessary or incidental for said project, Contract
NO. 1122, have been prepared and are on file in the Engineering
Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by
reference herein!
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council Of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. The' above recitations are true. and correct.
2. The plans and specifications as presented are
hereby approved.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
authorized and directed to proceed to publish, in accordance
with law, notice to contractors inviting bids for DOWNTOWN
PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENT in accordance with the plans and
specifications hereinabove referred to,
