The net city share for FY 1981-82 is $5,278.72. * $3,051.65 for FY 80-81.

The relative share for some cities is substantially more than the estimate;
upon investigation, vie discovered that these cities had a very drastic
increase in their assessed property valuations this past year.

It has recently come to my attention that the individual city shares amounts are,
in some instances, significantly higher than originally estimated. I had estimated
that by not filling the sixth Operations Officer position in this office, the loss
of revenue due to the City of San Diego's withdrawl from the Organization would he
offset. It was somewhat, but not to the extend I had projected.
I realize this has caused hardship for, some of our member cities. Therefore, I am
proposing that you: 1) submit the amount originally estimated; 2) budget 10% over
your FY 80-81 city share plus the remaining unpaid FY 81-82 amount in order to
prof-,ct the FY 82-83 share; and 3) remit the unpaid 81-82 portion as soon as possible
affier July 1, 1982.

ience caused you.

RESOLUTION NO. 6995
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIPORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
TP.ANSPBR OF FUNDS FROM THE CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT
FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Civil nefense Fund will require the appropriation
of funds from the Contingency Account for the City's share to the
Unified San Diego County Emergency Services Organization, and
WHEREAS, the City Contingency Account balance of $1,208,147
is sufficient to support the trunsfea: of funds for the purpose
described above in the amount of $10,330., and
WHEREAS, the balance remaining in the contingency account
following this action will be $1,197,817;
N(Yd THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California that the aforementioned transfer is
hereby approved.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 7th, day of SeptaWber ,
1982, by the following vote, to wit:
