Accept public improvements, authorize City Clerk to release subdivision
bonds and direct Maintenance Department to maintain the public sidewalks.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Kamar Construction, developer of CT 80-1 , has requested the City accept
the improvements and release the subdivision bonds.

Dear Mr, Allen:
It has come to our attention that the City of Carlsbad has never accepted the improvements for CT 80-1 nor reduced the bond amount to the warranty amount,
We were assured by the City Engineering Department, at the time of final inspection done approximately June 15, 1981, that the subdivision was finaled, all corrections made and the item set for acceptance,
We realize that it is partially our fault for not follow- ing up on the item and making sure the City accepted the improvements as we were led to believe they were in the process of doing so,
However, we feel that letting a bond sit for well over a
year is negligence by the Engineering Department, We, therefore, ask you to immediately put this item on the Council Agenda and complete this transaction,
