TITLE: AMMENDMENT TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SUPPRESSION PERSONNEL BUDGET CITY ATTYM

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 70 .q5 amending the Fire Department budget.
ITEM EXPLATION:
On September 21, 1982 the City Council adopted Resolution 7020 approving the
Memorandum of Understanding with the Carlsbad Firefighters and Resolution
7022 authorizing transfer of funds to cover the cost. In order to implement
the memorandum of understanding, we need to amend the personnel section of
the Fire Department suppression budget as follows:

FISCAL IMPACT:
Annualized cost: $30,000. Funds have been transfered from the contingency

RESOLUTION NO. 7045
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIAy AMENDING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT'S BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Firefighter's Association,
Inc. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, dated September 17, 1982;
and
WHEREAS, money to cover the cost has been transfered from the contingency
account to the Fire Department budget; and
WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding requires one additional person
and two promotions to implement the work week changes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
that the Fire Department's suppression budget be amended as follows:

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
