'RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 'JZ$'/3-, approving plans and specifications and
authorizing the City C erk to advertise for bids for the construction of alley parking lot between Elm and Oak Avenue at Santa Fe Railroad.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
To provide parking' facility, the City has leased approximtely 28,000 square feet of land from Santa Fe Railroad. The design of this parking lot was contracted to Rick Engineering and completed. Construction of
handicapped parking. Coastal Permit is pending and EIA clearances have this parking lot will provide 81 parking spaces of which two are
been obtained.
FISCAL IMPACT: .. ..
The engineer's estimate for this project is $46,000. Funds are available for this project in previously appropriated CDBG Streetscape Account
..
NO. 15-18-90-3715.
Funds for this specific project can be appropriated at the time of contract award.

RESOLUTION NO. 7043
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK
TO INVITE BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PARKING
LOT BETWEEN ELM AND OAK AVENUE AT A.T. h S.F. -
CONTRACT NO. 1124.
WHbREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has
determined it is necessary and in the public interest to
construct the parking lot between Elm h Oak Avenue at A.T. h
S.P.; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishing of
all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation and other
expenses necessary of incidental for said project, Contract No.
1124, have been prepared and are on file in the Engineering
Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by
reference herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The plans and specifications as presenred are
hereby approved.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
authorized and directed to proceed to publish, in accordance
with law, notice to contractors inviting bids for the
construction of parking lot between Elm h Oak Avenue at A.T. 6
S.F. in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinabove
referred to.
