RECOMMENDED ACTION:
That Council appoint a citizen committee to make recommendations
on amendments to the city's general circulation plan.
ITEM EXPLANATION:

RESOLUTION NO. 7087' .
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING
THE .CIRCULATION PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a Circulation Plan for the
City of Carlsbad in 1975; and
WHEREAS, THE City Counci'l hired a consultant to review that
circulation plan and to recommend changes; and
WHEREAS, the formation of a Circulation Plan Advisory
Committee would provide the necessary review of the plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. Thet a Circulation Plan Advisory Committee be formed
consisting of the following membership categories:
5 Y Citizens
1 - Council Member
1 -. Planning Commission
1 - Traffic Safety Commission.
1 - HOT Committee
1 - STOP Committee
' 1 - Parks snd Recreation Commj.ssion
3. That the Circulation Plan Advisory Committee will
prepare a written report for the City Council with their
recommendations on the Circulation Plan.
4. That the City Council will.have the authority to
appoint, replace, and remove members.
5. That th.e Circulation Plan Advisory -Commi.ttee will be
termimated within 12 months of itn first necting or upon
presentation of its final report, whichever occur6 fi.rst.

Committee is a voluntary position and does not entitle the
members to any compensation or reimbursement for expenses.
7. That the following persons are hereby appointed to
