Adopt Resolution No. 7074 accepting bids and awarding Contract No. 1124 for the
construction of the Railroad Parking Lot with Landscaping to
Dillingham Engineering Construction.

On November 2, 1982, Council authorized the advertisement for bids for the constsuction
Twelve sealed.bids were received on November 22, 1982, as follows:

The' engineer's estimate on this project was $46,000. References have been verified
on the 1ow.bidder. Staff recommends the award of this contract to Dillingham
Engineering Construction. Sully-Miller's bid.should be rejected as nonresponsive
since they did not bid on landscaping.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Budgeted funds in the amount of $52,000 (Account No. 15-18-90-3715) are available
for this project.

RESOLUTION NO.=
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAO, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AN0 AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. 1124 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE RAILROAD PARKING LOT.
WHEREAS, bidshave been received by the City of Carlsbad for construction
of the Railroad Parking Lot, Contract No. 1124; and
WHEREAS, the low bid received for this project with Alternate A was sub-
mitted by Dillingham Engineering Construction in the amount of $39,676.52; and
WHEREAS, Sully-Miller Company's bid is rejected as nonresponsive; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 15-18-90-3715 for this projec,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the.City of Carlsbai
as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid $39,676.52 by Dillingham Engineering Construction for
Contract,No. 1124 for the construction of the Railroad Parking Lot is hereby
accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a
contract therefor.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
Council held on thezday of Eecmker , 19Sby the following
