RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 7#26 approving plans and specifications and authorize the City Clerk to advertise for bids for Grand Avenue waterline replacement.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The project consists of replacing existing deteriorated waterline with 12-inch asbestos cement pipe on Grand Avenue, between Madison Street and Jefferson Street.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The engineer's estimate for this project is $14,000. appropriated. The Utilities and Maintenance Department will spend $30,000 of the funds for replacing three pipelines on Redwood, Walnut and Sycamore. The
remining funds, in the amount of $20,000 (Account No. 41-18-60-3127), will be used to rep1 ace Grand Avenue waterl ine.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CL.ERK TO INVITE BIDS FOR THE GRAND AVENUE WATERLINE REPLACEMENT - CONTRACT ..l_l-_* NO. 1128.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it is
necessary and in the public interest to replace waterline on Grand Avenue; and
WHEREAS, specifications for the furnishing of all labor, material, tools,
equipment, transportaion, and other expenses necessary or incidental for said
project, Contract No. 1123, have been prepared and are on file in the Engineering
Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
as follws:
