TITLE: STOP SIGNS AT
ALM ROAD AND EL FUERTE STREET
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
* CITY MGR.-
Introduce Ordinance No. 3 159establishing stop signs on El Fuerte Street
at Alga Road.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The City Engineer has recommended stop signs on El Fuerte at Alga Road.
Alga Road is a major arterial, intersecting with El Fuerte.
There is construction work going on in this area, with a need to assign right-of-way at this intersection.
The Traffic Safety Commission reviewed this item and agreed with the City Engineer's recommendation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
A cost of $100 is estimated for the sign purchase and installation.
Funds are available in Account NO. 00-51-10-2665 for this work.

ORDINANCE NO. 3159
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 10.28.320 DESIGNATING STOP CONTROL ON EL FUERTE STREET AT ALGA ROAD.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as
'01 1 ows :
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is
mended by the addition of Section 10.28.320 to read as follows:
"10.28.320 Alga Road. Drivers shall stop where the following described itreet intersects Alga Road: El Fuerte Street."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its
idoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and
:ause it to be published at least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen
lays after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the City Council held the
lst day of. mch , 1983, and thereafter
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said City Council held the
-5th - day of March , 1983, by the following vote, to wit:
