RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No.7/77to summarily vacate a portion of
Glasgow Drive. Adopt Resolution No.717rto accept a srant deed for a portion of Glasgow Drive for realignment.
- ITEM EXPLAMATION:
Due to changes in the realignment of clasoow Drive, a request was made by Rick Engineering in July, 19?2, on behalf of Colony at
Calavera Hills' Homeowners' Association, to vacate an area on the
northern portion of the street and acce?t the dedication of an
equivalent portion on the south side of the street. This occurs
at the dead end of Glasgow.
The Engineering Department has reviewed the request and has found
it to be reasonable and compatible with the approved plan. There is no required access to adjoining properties and the only existing utility is Costa Real': 'I?-inch waterline.
Costa Real Kunicipal LJater District will be relocating their water-
line and, therefore, have no objection to the vacation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There would be no fiscal impact.

rive Will provide no usable access to the adjoining properties after the
zaligrment of the street, said portion is mre particularily described in
dit A attached hereto and mde a part hereof;
NOW, THEREWXE, LET IT BE FESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
arlsbad as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. A portion of Glasgow Drive, described in Exhibit A, has not been used
or the past five (5) years and is smrily vacated pursuant to Section 8330a of
hapter 1050 of the California StreeBand Highway Code.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meting of the City Council held

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA , ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED.
WHEREAS, The Colony at Calavera Hills' Hcmamers' Association
has submitted a Grant Deed conveying
of Carlsbad for mad purposes ; said
Deed is on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and
an easerent to the City
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it to be
in the public interest to accept said Deed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Grant Deed conveying an eaSem3lt to the City
of Car'lsbad for __ mad .-. purposes is
hereby accepted.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause the original Deed to
be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, State of
California, with the appropriate Certificate of Acceptance attached.
