Adopt Resolution plans and specifications, authorizing the City
Clerk to advertise construction of the Swimming Pool Parking Lot,
and authorizing the transfer of funds for this project.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
This contract was presented to Council on February 1, 1983, with Agenda Bill No.
7277 and the Engineer's Estimate of $72,000.
Bill No. 7277. The City Manager directed Staff to reintroduce this contract, with
the lighting, as an alternate and reducing the cost of the contract where possible. Agenda Bill No. 7277, No. 1, was then presented on April 19, 1983, and Council
directed that it be returned to the City/School Committee for discussion. Approval to Proceed was given by the Committee.
At that time, Council continued Agenda
contract consists of conversion of an existing dirt area between the tennis ts and the existing parking lot south of the Swim Poo1,Complex to a paved parking
It will create 53 parking spaces.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Engineer's Estimate is $26,000. The approved amount can be transferred from
Capital Construction Unapproprriated Reserve Account, No. 30-00-00-0941, to the Swim Pool Parking Lot Account, No. 30-18-40-3146.

RESOLUTION NO. 7127
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FICATIONS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO INVITE
BIDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FOR
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECI-
SWIMMING POOL PARKING LOT - CONTRACT NO. 3146.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it is
necessary and in the public interest to construct the Swimming Pool Parking Lot;
and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furni3hing of all labor,
material, tools, equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or
incidental for said project, Contract No. 3146, have been prepared and are on
file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated
by reference herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE-IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Calsbad
as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.

The specifications as presented are hereby approved.
The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and
directed to proceed to publish, in accordance with law, notice to contractors
inviting bids for the const-ruction of the Swimming Pool Parking Lot in
accordance with the sp,ecifications hereinabove referred to.
4. That the transfer of Twenty-Six Thousand Dollars ($26,000) from the
Capital Construction Unappropriated Reserve Account, No. 30-00-00-0941, to the
Swimming Pool Parking Lot Account, No. 30-18-40-3146, is hereby authorized and
approved.
