RECOMMENDED ACTlON:
Adopt Resolution No.";ld qTlauthorizing the San Diego Association of
Governments (SANDAG) to a ocate funds to the City of Carlsbad for
the installation of bicycle lanes on Alga Road. r 1-
ITEM EXPLANATION
The widening and impr0vemen.t of Alga Road, east of El Camino Real,
will be completed in 1983. In order to qualify and obtain State
funds for the installation of bicycle lanes, the City Council is
requested to authorize the San Diego Association of Governments to
allocate funds in the amount of $10,500 to the City of Carlsbad for the installation of said bicycle lanes.
I FISCAL IMPACT
Upon Council's approval, the City will be eligibl'e for funds in the
amount of $10,500 from SANDAG.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE SAN
DIEGO ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS (SANDAG) TO
ALLOCATE FUNDS TO THE CITY OF CARLSBAD FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF BICYCLE LANES ON ALGA ROAD.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad that
ie San Diego Association of Governments be authorized to allocate
lnds ($10,500) from the Local Transportation Funds Account in
rder for the City of Carlsbad to install bicycle lanes on Alga

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
