ELECTRICAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION
SANDAG requested city electrical energy consumption figures to support their
application for hydro-electric power from the Western Power Fool.
the following to Steve Sachs by telephone on July 20:
I reported
City 302,100 KWH/month
Encina 16,171 KWH/month
I also advised him Encina's consumption would double in the next year.
The letter from SANDAG also requested an expression of interest in applying for
federal hydro power. I asked Lee to review the council minutes for any comments
council might have made relating to Larry Stirling's proposal of about a year
ago (as I recall, this is/was his idea), however, we could find nothing. How do
you want to handle this expression of interest?
COUNCIL ACTION:
7-26-83 Council expressed support for the above.
