SUBJECT: RECOMMENDED CONTINUANCE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PUBLIC
NUISANCE ABATEMENT - CHAPPEE AUTO WRECKING
Staff has continued to monitor the Chappee Auto Wrecking site for
compliance with his agreement to remove all junk materials within
six months. Although it is difficult to ascertain whether
exactly one additional sixth of the materials has been removed
over the past month, staff believes that there is a substantial
improvement. This is especially true toward the center of the
site where considerable materials continue to be removed.
Staff recommends that the public hearing on this matter be
continued to the City Council meeting of September 6, 1983.
