Thompson 1 Fire Chief City of Carlsbad 1275 Elm Avenue Carlsbad, CA 92008 Subject: Possible Station Site: Buttercup and Batiquitos Dear Chief Thompson: I enjoyed the opportunity to meet with you last Monday to discuss the possi- bility of working with your department regarding some site work for a station site on the subject city owned property. I have reviewed our discussion with Bob Allan, president of Standard Pacific, and with Len Goodman of Pacesetter Homes. Based on these recent events we wish to present you with a specific proposal for our participation in the development of a permanent fire station at the southwest corner of Batiqiiitos Drive and Buttercup Road. In return for the deletion of the tentative map conditions on both C.T. 83-2 (Sea Pines) and C.T. 81-30 (Pacesetter) requiring the use of interior fire sprinklers, Standard Pacific and Pacesetter will perform the following: 0 Prepare preliminary conceptual plans and elevations for a two bay station house up to 4,500 square feet in size. This will be done in close coor- dination with your office to insure that both the needs of the Department and architectural integration with adjacent developments are achieved. 0 Prepare a grading plan for a 200 foot by 200 foot (approx.) site. 0 Grade the site to the above determined specifications. 0 Bring up all appropriate public utilities to the site.
