RECOMMENDED ACTION:
City Council adopt Resolution No. 7360approving the application for gri from Roberti-Z'Berg Urban Open-Space and Recreation Program.
ITEM EXPLANATION I
The state has allocated $2,006 in funding to Carlsbad through the Roberti, Grant Program. In order to obtain the grant, the City must provide a 25% which equal s $669.
This is a "block grant" which means revenue is available to cities in urb, areas on a per capita basis.
The Parks and Recreation Commission, at their meeting in September, recorn: the following project for funding:
- Purchase picnic tables, benches, and barbeque pits for Holiday Pa

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS
PROGRAM FOR HOLIDAY PARK. UNDER THE ROBERTI-Z'BERG URBAN OPEN-SPACE AND RECREATION
WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of California has el

and for devel oping faci 1 i ties to meet urban recreation needs; and 8
certain political subdivisions of the State of California for acquiril 7
Roberti-Z'Berg Urban Open-Space and Recreation Program, which provide!
9 WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has

necessary procedures governing appl ication by local agencies under tk 11
delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program, s

WHEREAS, said applications contain a certification that 16

WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Departn

24 NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of

Z'Berg Urban Open-Space and Recreation Program; and 28
