RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. _� ,3 authorizing an annual physical
examination for elected officials.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The City Council requested that elected officials be included
in the provision of the management compensation plan that
provides up to $250 annually to pay for a physical examination.
The attached resolution ,,-uld authorize the payment for such
an examination.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The estimated annual cost for physical examinations for six
elected officials would be $1,500. The City Clerk is already
eligible since she also serves as Central Services Director.

RESOLUTION NO. 7373
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING
AN ANNUAL PHYSICAL EXAMINA`.CION FOR. ELECTED
OFFICIALS.
WHEREAS, the Management Compensation Plan of the City of
Carlsbad provides for an annual physical examination paid by the
City for management employees of the City; and
WHEREAS, providing an annual physical examination for elected
officials would help ensure the continued health and well being
necessary to carry out their offices; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide an annual
physical examination for elected City officials;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That City elected officials shall be eligible "or an
annual physical examination as provided for management employees in
lthe Management Compensation Plan.
f PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of
October , 1983, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Mmbers Casler, Lewis, Kulchin, Chick and Prescott
