RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 3 (p awarding the bid for bookshelving
and furniture.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The 1983-84 Budget includes funds for the purchase of bookshelving
and furniture for the Branch Library.
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice
to Bidders was published and Request for bids was made. Five
responses were received, opened, witnessed and recorded on October
13, 1983.
The lowest responsive bid was submitted by Westack, Inc., 2330
Paseo de Laura, Oceanside, CA 92054 in the amount of $29,987.00
plus tax, for a total of $31,786.22.
FISCAL IMPACT
Thirty five thousand dollars ($35,000) is available in the CLSA
Branch Library Capital Outlay account for library bookshelving and
furniture.

RESOLUTION NO. 7326
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A BID AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR BOOKSHELVING AND FURNITURE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the bid from Westack Inc. , 2330 Paseo de Laura,
Oceanside, CA 92054, is hereby accepted and the City Manager is
hereby authorized to execute a contract for the purchase of
bookshelving and furniture in the amount of $29,987 plus tax, for
total of $31,786.22.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City o
Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on lst day of
November , 19831, by the following vote, to wit:
