TITLE: PREPARATION OF STATEMENT AND MAPS DEPT-HD-
CONCERNING THE CARLSBAD LCP CITY Am=
CITY MGR.~
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
That Council direct the City Manager to prepare appropriate maps
and a statement concerning the Carlsbad LCP at the request of
Senator Craven.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In late October, we received a requested letter from the Coastal Commission stating the funds received from developers under the
LCP ($310,573.60 to date) and the funds dispersed ($0.00).
Copies of our request and the response were sent to Assemblyman Frazee and Senator Craven , among others.
Senator Craven's office called, requesting more information on
the LCP, and a meeting was arranged for November 22. Attendees were Nobura and Is0 Tabata, Don Agatep, Mike Kennedy and Mary
Casler. The peculiar "bulge" in the coastal zone encompassing
our southwest quadrant and the one-of-a-kind subsidy program were discussed.
Senator Craven wished to have maps and a statement presented.
Maps and a statement will be available for Council review on December 6th.
