, RECOMMENDED ACTION:
St,aff recommends Council adopt Resolution No. 73/1/4 , rescinding
the Contract for the purchase of a used vehicle and authorize the
use of Open Market Procedures for the purchase of a used vehicle.
lTEM EXPLANAT10N~
On October 18, 1983, Council adopted Resolution No. 7380, awarding
a bid to ~ertz Corporation for the purchase of 1982 compact and
intermediate sedans. The specifications called for a maximum of
30,000 miles at the time of delivery. Hertz Corporation has
not1fied us that they are unable to provide us with a 1982
Intermediate ~edan that meets our mileage specifications.
Theref.ore, it ls recommended ,we use the Open Market Procedures to
purchase a used intermediate sedan for th~ Police Administration.
FISCAL IMPACl:
The funds are available l,1 the 1983-84 Vehicle Replacement Budget.
The intermediate sedan was on the list approved by Council.
