authorizing the transfer of
funds from Undesignated -=Y- Pub ic Facilities Construction Fund,
Approve Resolution No.
Account No. 32-00-00-0941 to the Alga/Alicante Traffic
Signal Improvements, Account No. 32-18,-40-3160.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
At their meeting on,December 6, 1983, Council directed staff
to add the Alga/Alicante traffic signal onto the City's
capital program and to return with the necessary
authorization to transfer funds into the project account. Monies in the amount of $80,000 are available from the Public Facilities Fund.
Staff is now in the process of selecting an outside consultant to prepare plans and specifications for this signal. The design and construction of this traffic signal will be coordinated with the proposed Alga Road construction project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Engineer's estimate for the design and construction of
this signal is $80,000. Since this signal was identified on the Public Facilities Management Plan it will be paid for through the collection of public facilties fees. Funds are available in the public facilties fund for this project.

OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORHIA, AUTHORIZING THE TRANS-
IMPROVEMENTS - CONTRACT NO. 3160.
BE IT RESOLVED by the,'City Coucil of the City of Carlsbad,

California, as follows:
1. That the transfer of Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000)
from the Undesignated Public Facilities Construction Fund Balance
Account No. 32-00-00-0941 to the Alga/Alicante Traffic Signal
Improvements Account No. 32-18-40-3160 is hereby authorized and
approved.
2. That the Department of Finance Fund Transfer No. 047 on
file in said Department and incorporated by reference herein is
approved.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held the 20th day of December ,
1983, by the following vote, to wit:
