Home My WebLink About1984-01-17; City Council; 7376-2; Appointments to Board of Directors of Cable TV- CIT OF CARLSBAD - AGEND,,-BILL RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. , appointing three members to the Board Television. of Directors for the for Carlsbad Community Cable ITEM EXPLANATION: The By-Laws provide that members of the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Carlsbad Community Cable Television shall serve for staggered two year terms, or until their successor is appointed. To establish the staggered two year terms, the City Council, in accordance with the By-Laws, appointed three Directors to serve an initial term of office for one year. Those initial terms arc designated to expire on January 31, 1984. Thereafter, on February 1 of each year, Directors are to be appointed to fill the vacancies which occur. The terms which expire on January 31, 1984 are those of Bill Levinson, Sharon Strong, and the recently appointed John Mamaux. Bill Levinson and Sharon Strong have expressed their interest in being reappointed to the Board of Directors; and Mr. Mamaux was just recently appointed due to the resignation of Dr. Curtin. Appointments made at this time will be for two year terms and will expire on January 31, 1986. EXHIBITS: 1.
