FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
HOERNLEIN STORM DRAIN
(PROJECT NO. 3157) CITY MGR.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept the construction of the Hoernlein Storm Drain as complete.
Direct the City Clerk to have the Notice of Completion recorded,
and release the bonds 35 days after recordation, and adopt
Resolution No. 6-0 transferring funds from the Hoernlein Trust
appropriating funds.
Account to the ?+ ity's General Liability Insurance Fund and
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Construction of the Hoernlein Storm Drain (Project No. 3157) has
been satisfactorily completed and is acceptable.
A breakdown of the project costs is as follows:
Construction
Soil Testing
$25,000 $ 885
TOTAL $25,885
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City has received $22,000 from insurance companies to cover the
cost of this project. In addition, the City has appropriated
$9,550 to cover the City's share of the cost of construction. The recommended action will transfer the $22,000 from the Trust Account to the Liability Fund and will appropriate a total of $31,550 to cover the costs of this project plus Engineering fees.
Construction costs totaled $25,885 and Engineering fees will be less than $5,665, although final charges from Engineering are not
yet available.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM THE HOERNLEIN TRUST ACCOUNT TO THE CITY'S GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE FUND AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS.
WHEREAS the City of Carlsbad has received payments from insurance companies

WHEREAS these funds have been held in trust by the City until the project
nown as the Hoernlein Storm Drain was completed; and
WHEREAS this project has now been completed to the satisfaction of the City
ouncil; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
hat the amount of Twenty-Two Thousand Dollars ($22,000) is hereby transferred
rom the Hoernlein Trust Account No. 80-92-55-0519 to the City's General
iability Insurance Fund and this amount is hereby appropriated to the Hoernlein
