RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends the Council adopt Resolution No. 7,:57 v accepting bids and awarding
Contract No. 3900 -1 for the painting of the Li rab ry to Prime Coatings, 445 N. Hale
Avenue, Escon ifi do, CA 92025, in the amount of $10,550.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On November 1, 983, the City Council authorized the City Clerk to advertise for bids
for the painting of the Library. Five responses were received, opened, witnessed and
recorded on January 25, 1984. The lowest responsive bid for the painting of Library
was submitted by Prime Coatings, in the amount of $10,550.
The Engineer's estimate on this project was $14,500. References have been verified on
the low bidder, Prime Coatings.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Buggetee funds in the amount of $16,500 are available in Building Maintenance Account
No.O1-53=30-2490 for this project.

OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. 3900-1
4 FOR Tr;E PAINTING OF THE LIBRARY.
5 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council fo the City of Carlsbad, California, as
6 follows:
7 1. That the bid from Prime Ccatings, 445 N. Hale Avenue, Escondido, CA
8 92025, is hereby accepted and the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized,
9 to -execute a contract for the painting of Library in the amount of $10,550.
10 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at
I1 a regular meeting held the 1st day of February 1984, by the following.
