HD. zg CITY AnYmj$ CITY MGR.i%!k RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No 3- sJa/approving a fund transfer and appropriating monies or proportional costs of offset cul-de-sac on Hemlock Avenue. ITEM EXPLANATION: On August 17, 1982, Agenda Bill No. 7127, an appeal of a condition requiring a cul-de-sac was heard by the City Council. 1 at that time was that the property Hemlock would not be required to install ffset cul-de-sac was to be built on the property to the South and the City would pay for that installation. FISCAL IMPACT: The estimated difference in the cost of cul-de-sacs is $7,531.00. This amount can be transferred from the Undesignated Capital Construction Fund Balance Account No. 30-00-00-0941, which has $581,462 in it. I hereby request that the appeal of the condition requiring an offset cul-de-sac on Hemlock be removed from the City Council agenda for February 7,1984. I also hereby request that the City resolve to assume the additional cost between a normal cul-de-sac and an offset cul-de-sac as indicated by the City Council in previous council action. WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary and in the public interest to construct an offset cul-de-sac on Hemlock Avenue; and WHEREAS, the City Council had previously indicated its will ingness to pay for said cul-de-sac; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad that the fund transfer of Seven Thousand Five Hundred and Thirty-One Dollars ($6531.00) from the Undesignated Capital Construction Fund Balance Account No. 30-00-00-0941 to the Hemlock Cul-De-Sac Account No. 30-18-40-3164 is approved. Said monies are appropriated for the purposes of paying a proportional cos_t of construction for said cul-de-sac.
