RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No.
Program and appropri ating funds
ITEM EXPLANATION:
amending the Capital Improvement
On December 13, 1983, the City Council reviewed the City Manager's
proposed changes to the Capital Improvement Program (Agenda Bill
#7542) including appropriation for the Central Business District
storm drain, El Camino Real widening, assessment districts and
Carlsbad Blvd. warning flashers. The Council discussed the
proposed Capital Improvement Program and the City Manager's
proposal actions on the Public Safety Center. The Council did not,
however, appropriate funds for the above listed projects. The
projects listed above have been discussed as being high priority
projects which the Council has directed staff to proceed on this
year. This action appropriates funds for these four projects and
gives the Engineering Department the ability to begin work as soon
as possible.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The appropriation of funds for these projects does not impact the
position of the City's capital funds. All documents presented to
Council to date have shown fund balances based upon the assumption
that these pojects, as well as several others from prior years,
would be reappropriated this year.
The recommended projects would be funded as follows:
