Commissioner Rombotis was originally appointed to the Planning Commission in June, 1976, and has completed two four year terms. The other members of the Planning Commission are as follows: Vernon Farrow, Mary Marcus, Elaine Lyttleton, Willis Rawlins, Clarence Schlehuber, and James Smith. By streamlining procurement and recelpt methods, a task which was expected to take over a year was accomplished in 8 months with sizable savings. This entailed maintalnlng a highly operational capability in the physical plant consistlng of buildings, power plants, a railroad, roadways and a fleet of over 800 vehicles. Directed the Public Relations Office, 3rd Marine Division, Vfetnam, fm 1967-68, with responsibilitla for news releases, TV interviews, assfsting civitlan news reporters and visiting dignitaries. Assigned to the U.S. State Department for 2 years with Headquarters in Egypt. Have traveled extensively in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
