HD.- CITY ATTY VFB CITY MGR. A RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council introduce Ordinance No. 972q . ITEM EXPLANATION: The City Council, at your adjourned meeting of June 11, 1984, directed the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance amending Section 20.44.040 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code to revise the standards and formula for the dedication of park land. The ordinance is attached. EXHIBIT Ordinance No. 9 72 ORDINANCE NO. 9724 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF - CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TITLE 20, CHAPTER 20.44 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 20.44.040 TO REVISE THE STANDARDS AND FORMULA FOR THE DEDICATION OF PARKLAND. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: That Title 20, Chapter 20.44, Section 20.44.040 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the amendment by the parkland dedication formula table in said section to read as follows: Parkland Dedication Formula Table Types of Dwellings 2. %=@ Acres Std. ,- Single Family Detached and Duplex (0 lot line or attached wall) 3.0 327 sq.ft. Attached Single Family (4 units or less attached) 2.5 272 sq.ft. Attached Multiple Family (more than 4 units) 2.0 218 sq.ft. Mobile Homes 1.75 190 sq.ft. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and at least once in the Carlsbad Journal its adoption.
