TRANSFER FUNDS FOR CITY ATTY- TAMARACK AVENUE: SUNNYHILL DRIVE TO SKYLINE ROAD (CONTRACT NO. 3143) CITY MGR.~
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 7436 approving plans and specifications, authorizing the CityClerk to advertise for bids, and approving the
transfer of funds for Tamarack Avenue (Contract No. 3143).
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Plans and specifications for Tamarack Avenue between Sunnyhill
Drive and Skyline Road have been prepared, are ready to advertise
for bids, and are on file in the Engineering Department.
The work will include 48' wide pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk,
street lights, and storm drains.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Engineer's Estimate for completion of this work is as follows:
Engineering Design (Consultant) $ 1,800
Testing and Inspection 2,500
Staff Engineering 3,700
Construction 134,000
ESTIMATED TOTAL $'142,000
Funds in the amount of $336,000 are available in the Tamarack:
Adams to Highland Account No. 32-18-40-3108. A transfer of
$142,000 to the Tamarack Avenue: Sunnyhill Drive to Skyline Road Account No. 32-18-40-3143 will leave a balance of $194,000 which is
adequate to fund the proposed Tamarack: Adams to Highland Project.

been prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of
the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein.
WHEREAS, funds available in Account No. 32-18-40-3108 are to
be transferred for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. Plans and specifications as presented are hereby
approved.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
authorized and directed to proceed to publish, in accordance with
law, Notice to Contractors inviting bids for the construction of
Tamarack Avenue: Sunnyhill Drive to Skyline Road in accordance
Nith the plans and specifications hereinabove referred to.
4. That the transfer of One Hundred Forty-Two Thousand
’Jollars fr-om the Tamarack Adams to Highland Account No. 32-18-40-
3108 to the Tamarack: Sunnyhill to Skyline Account No. 32-18-40-
3143 is hereby approved and appropriated.

OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS, AND APPROVING TRANSFER OF FUNDS FOR TAMARACK AVENUE - CONTRACT NO. 3143.
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishing of all
labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other
expenses necessary and incidental for said Contract No. 3143 have
