RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Adopt Resolution No. -2E!L authorizing destruction of certain records kept by the City Attorney.
ITEM EXPLANATION
It is no longer necessary for the ongoing or current activities of the City Attorney to keep records of claims, code enforcement records and/or records of prosecutions for code violations which are over two years old.

RESOLUTION NO. 7654
- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSLBAD, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS KEPT BY THE CITY ATTORNEY.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad resolves:
1. That pursuant to Section 34090 of the Government
Code the City Attorney is authorized to destroy the following
records:
a. Records of claims over two years old.
b. Code enforcement records over two years old.
c. Records of prosecutions for code violations
over two years old.
2. This resolution shall not authorize the destruction
of any record which the City Attorney deems is necessary for'che
ongoing or current activity of the office of the City Attorney.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the Carlsbad City Council, held on the 3rd day of July
1984 by the following vote, to wit:
