RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 7663 , appointing a member to the Carlsbad
Parks and Recreation Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
At the Council Meeting of June 19, 1984, Jeanne McFadden was appointed
to fill the vacancy on the Planning Commission. Since her appointment to the Planning Commission, Jeanne McFadden has submitted a letter
Df resignation from the Parks and Recreation Commission\ The term vacated does not expire until August, 1987.
3ther Commissioners are: Shirley Dahlquist, Barbara Donovan, Norris
Cochran, C. Scott Wright, James Popovich and John Conti.
Zopies of applications received in 1984 are attached for Council
Eonsideration.

Please accept my resignation from the Park & Recreation Commission
ofvthe City of Carlsbad effective June 29, 1984. It's with reluct-
ance that I leave the P&Rec. Commission at this time when the Staff
& Commission are moving together toward significant accomplishments.
However, my recent appointment to the Planning Commission will not
permit me to devote the needed time to both, and therefore my nearly
six year tenure as a P&Rec. Commissioner must end.
Your timely response to this request will be appreciated.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION.
- CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE
WHEREAS, Jeanne McFadden was appointed to the Planning
Commission on June 19, 1984; and
WHEREAS, Jeanne McFadden has resigned as a member of the
Parks and Recreation Commission; and
WHEREAS, the term of Jeanne McFadden expires in August,
1987:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following person is hereby appointed to sery?
