RECOMMENDED ACTION:
CITY MGI
City Council direct staff to prepare the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for Calavera Hi1 1s Community Park and to prepare a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the detailed park development plans and specifications.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Staff will present to the City Council for approval the preliminary plans for the three-phase Cal avera Hi1 1 s Community Park. Funding is requested for design of the total park area and for construction of Phase I. Phase the southern section of the park, will include three lighted youth ball fi
parking, restrooms/snack bar, walkways, and passive and natural landscape
The preliminary plan was reviewed and recently approved in concept by the Carlsbad Athletic Recreation Association (CARA) and the Parks & Recreation Commi ss i on.
Staff will review the plans with Cal avera Hi1 1 s Homeowners Association on July 23 and will report their findings to Council at the July 24 Council meeti ng.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total park design and Phase I construction costs are included in the 1984-85 Capital Improvement Program in the amount of $610,720.
