TITLE: NOTICE OF COMPLETION
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT
EL CAMINO REAL & CAMINO VIDA ROBLE (3148 & 3149) PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD & YARROW DRIVE, AND CITY MOR.-,

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
1. Accept the construction of Traffic Signals at Palomar Airport Road and Yarrow,
and El Camino Real and Camino Vida Roble as complete. Direct the City Clerk
to have the Notice of Completion recorded, and release the bonds 35 days after
recordation.
2. Authorize the Finance Director to transfer $7951 from the Trust Account to the
Project Account to cover administration costs and refund remaining monies to
respective parties according to schedule outline below.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Construction of Traffic Signals at Palomar Airport Road and Yarrow Drive, and El
Camino Real and Carnino Vida Roble has been satisfactorily completed. The final
contract amount of $98,885 includes three Change Orders, which increased the contract amount by $11,358, (handled administratively in accordance with Administrative Order No. 7) to cover some modifications in the signal heads to accommodate future traffic. Utilities and Maintenance Department has accepted the two traffic signals.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The traffic signals at Palomar Airport Road and Yarrow Drive were paid for by two
adjacent Developers and the County. The traffic signal at El Camino Real and
Camino Vida Roble were paid for by the Developer of the Palomar Airport Business
Park.
The City has received a total of $145,500 from the Developers and the County for the construction of the signals as follows:

The remaining monies in the amount of $31,133 will be refunded to the respective
parties per their agreement with the City and according to the following schedule:
1. County to be refunded $ 3,773.00 2. Palomar Business Park to be refunded $27 , 361.00 3. Graham International to be refunded $ -0-
Ten percent (10%) retention will be withheld until 35 days after the Notice of Completion.
