RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS AT VARIOUS

Adopt Resolution No. G accepting bids and awarding Contract
No. 3900 for
various locations in the City of Carlsbad to CONSLEY & MONTIGNEY
CO., INC.

ITEM EXPLANATION:
On July 17, 1984, Council authorized the advertisement for bids
for said project. Seven (7) sealed bids were received on
September 5, 1984, as follows:
1. Consley & Montigney Co., Inc. - $7,687.50 2. Works Striping and Marking Services - $7,872.50
3. Payco Specialties Inc. - $8,736.25
4. Safety Striping and Surface - $9,650.00 5. Traffic Appliance Corp. - $10,657.50 6. Traffic Engineering Inc. - $11,800.00 7. Cote Mark Inc. - $12,927.50
The Engineer's Estimate on this project was $8,000.00. References have been verified on the low bidder, CONSLEY & MONTIGNEY CO., INC. Staff recommends the award of this contract to CONSLEY & MONTIGNEY CO., INC.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Budgeted funds in the amount of $8,000.00 are available in
income Account No. 119-810-8204-8620 for this project. There
is no cost to the City because the project is funded by a grant
from the Federal Aid Safety Program.

RESOLUTION NO. 7756
A RESCJLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. 3900 FOR INSTALLING RAISED PAVEMENT
MARKERS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD.
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for installing
raised pavement markers at various locations in the City of Carlsbad, Contract
No. 3900; and
WHEREAS, the low bid received for said contract was submitted by CONSLEY
& MONTIGNEY CO., INC., in the amount of $7,687.50; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Income Account No. 119-810-8204-8620
for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid of $7,687.50 by CONSLEY & MONTIGNEY CO., INC. for Contract
No. 3900 for installing raised pavement markers at various locations in the
City of Carlsbad is hereby accepted, and the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute a contract thereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
at a regular meeting held the 2nd day of October , 1984, by the
following vote, to wit:
