Adopt Resolution No. 77?~sumrnarily vacating a reservation for
future street on a portion of Almaden Lane, east of Zamora Way.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The reservation for a future street was intended to provide for a cul-de-sac at a future time, if Almaden Lane was to terminate at that point. That plan has been dropped and the street now
continues easterly as a private street with a cul-de-sac available to the public. The reservation for future street is, therefore, no
longer needed.
Staff recommends that this vacation be conditioned to specify that
any existing easements for utility purposes are specifically
exempted from this vacation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There will be no fiscal impact resulting from this vacation.

RESOLUTION NO. 7754
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, SUMMARILY VACATING A RESERVATION FOR FUTURE STREET ON PORTION OF ALMADEN LANE.
WHEREAS, a portion of Lot 1 of Map 7784 in the City of
Carlsbad, County of Riverside, State of California was reserved
for a future street as shown on said map, recorded on October 31,
1973, of Official Records; and
WHEREAS, the subject portion of Almaden Lane was intended to
provide for a cul-de-sac at a future time but is no longer needed
for that purpose because the street will be extended easterly as i
private street and a new cul-de-sac constructed which will be
available as a turn-around area for the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. This summarily vacatioi is made in accordance with
Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 4 of the California Streets and
Highways Code.
2. The precise legal description is attached hereto as
Exhibit A, and the location map is attached hereto as Ex.hibit B.
3. The portion to be summarily vacated is no longer needed
for public street purposes because it will be replaced with a
private cul-de-sac, available to the public.
4. After this resolution is recorded, the subject
reservation for future street no longe$a constitutes a street,
highway or pub1 ic easement.

5. The City Clerk is instructed to record this resolution
of summary vacation.
6. Any easements for utilities or public services are
excepted from this summary vacation.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held the 2nd day of
October , 1984, by the following vote, to wit:

CUL-DE-SAC VACATION
Being a portion of Lot 1 of Map 7784, in the city of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, reserved for a future street as shown on said map, recorded on October 31, 1973, of Official Records, described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on a 50.00 foot radius curve, the center of which is North 13O59'23" East; being distant North 13O59'23"
East, 190.00 feet from the most Southwesterly corner of said
Lot 1, said point lying on the westerly boundary line of said Lot 1 and the Southerly Right-of-way of Almaden Lane; thence
Northeasterly and Northwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of 240°00'00", for a distance of 209.44 feet to
a point of reverse curvature with a 50.00 foot radius curve, the center of which is North 46O01'37" West; thence Southwesterly through a central angle of 60°00'00" for a distance of 52.36 feet to the Northerly Right-of-way of Almaden Lane; thence North
76O01'37'' East, 86.60 feet to the center of the cul-de-sac and boundary corner of Lot 1; thence South 13O59'23" West, 50.00 feet along the East right-of-way of Almaden Lane to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
The area of this parcel is 0.140 acres.
