Frank Aleshire Carl sbad City Manager 1200 Elm Avenue Carlsbad, California 92008
Dear Frank:
The Carlsbad Unified School District owns a future high
school site of 42.6 acres located in the center of the City of Carlsbad east of El Camino Real. The Board of Trustees, being cognizant that there is some question concerning the availability of athletic playing fields, would be willing
to lease the future high school site on a mutually agreed upon agreement. The agreement could be for multiple years and could Include the concept of an educational park.
1 would appreciate hearing from you concerning the City
Council's desires to alleviate the paucity of available recreational land within the City by possibly leasing School District land.
Respectfully,
