RECOMMENDED ACTION:
TITLE:
NOTICE OF COMPLETION AND TRANSFER
OF FUNDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF STATE
AND GRAND STREETSCAPE (PROJECT NO. 3715) CITY MGR.%
Adopt Resolution No. 77 70 transferring and appropristing additional funds
for the State and Grand Streetscape Project.
Accept the construction of State and Grand Streetscape as complete. Direct the
City Clerk to have the Notice of Completion recorded.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Construction of the State and Grand Streetscape has been satisfactorily completed.
The final contract amount of $469,282.42 includes nine Change Orders for
$57,246.74. Seven of those Change Orders were handled administratively in
accordance with Administrative Order No. 7. The remaining two Change Orders
require City Council approval of expenditures.
These Change Orders are for additional materials required to complete the work as
shown on the plans but not correctly shown in the contract quantities. Some
additions to the contract are also included for increased landscaping and parking
spaces.
Redevelopment has reviewed and approved all Change Orders and recommends approval
of the fund transfer. They have also reviewed the project and recommended that it
be accepted as complete.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $440,155.00 were appropriated in Account No. 15-18-90-3715
for this project. $125,000 of that is an interim appropriation from the General
Capital Construction Reserve to be repaid with Community Development Block Grant
funds. An additional fund transfer of $28,527.42 from the Construction Reserve
Fund to the project account is required. This amount will also be repaid with
Community Development Block Grant funds.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS
FOR STATE AND GRAND STREETSCAPE - CONTRACT NO. 3715
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $440,755.00 were appropriated for the State
and Grand Streetscape Contract No. 3715 by the City Council and are available in
Rccount No. 15-18-90-3715; and
WHEREAS, City funds in the amount of $440,755.00 have been encumbered for
this contract to date; and
WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $28,527.42 are required for the
project;
NOW, THEREFORE, 'BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cerlsbad ss
Follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The expenditure of additional funds in the amount of TWENTY EIGHT
THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY SEVEN AND 42/100 DOLLARS ($28,527.42) from the
General Capital Constuction Reserve fund and transfer to Account No. 15-18-90-
3715 is hereby authorized and appropriated.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at
a regular meeting held on the 6th day of , 1984, by the
