ITEM EXP,LANATION The City recently purchased a new mobile instensive care unit. The older intensiv~ care l!flit has been renovated and has been placed in reserv,e status. In addition to these units, the Fire Department has two van-type ambulances. One is in service at F~~e Station #2, and the other is no longer needed since the older mobile intensive care unit is now in reserve. Therefore, the Fire Chief has recommended the 1973 Chevrolet ambulance be declared surplus and be disposed of at the City-County auction. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined a 1973 Chevrolet anbulance ls surplus; and WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the City of Carlsbad to dispose of this unit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That the above reel tation ls true and correct. 2. That the item listed in Exhibit A be declared surplus. 3. That the City Manager ls hereby authorized and directed to pro~ed to dispose of the surplus ambulance.
