RECOMMENDED ACTION:
City Council adopt Resolution No.w7q approving plans and specifications,
and authorizing the City Clerk to advertise for bids for the rehabilitation
to the restrooms/snack bar at Chase Field.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The plans and specifications for the rehabilitation of the restrooms/snack bar
at Chase Field have been prepared and were approved by the Building Department.
Staff now recommends that the City advertise for bids to complete the project.
The estimated cost for the rehabilitation of the snack bar/restrooms is
$35,000. The project will include the following:
1. Construction of two new restrooms, a storage area, snack bar and
area to service plumbing fixtures.
2. Conversion of the existing restrooms to a storage area.
3. Upgrade the existing electrical service and sewer system.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total amount funded for the rehabilitation of Chase Field in the FY 84-85
CIP budget is $70,000.

RESOLUTION NO. 7879
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
THE REHABILITATION OF CHASE FIELD AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS.
WHEREAS, the City wishes to rehabilitate the snack bar/restrooms at
2hase Field; and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted for this project through the Capital
Improvement Project Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, €alJforfiia--has
determined that it is necessary and in the public interest to rehabilitate the
snack bar/restrooms at Chase Field; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. Plans and specifications are on file in the Parks and Recreation
off ice.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized
and directed to proceed to publish in accordance with law, notice to
constractors inviting bids for the rehabilitation of the snack bar/restrooms
at Chase Field in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinabove
ref erred to.
