RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends acceptance of the curb, gutter and sidewalk replacement,
Contract U/M - 1 as complete.
Completion recorded, and release the bonds 35 days after recordationnn.
Also, direct the City Clerk to have the Notice of
ITEM EXPLANATION
On May 22, 1984, Council awarded a contract for the curb, gutter and sidewalk
replacement to Oliver Matthews Construct ion Company, 223 North 49th Street, San
Diego, CA 92102, in the amount of $38,748.40. Council approked a transfer of
$15,150 from the contingency for the inclusion of sidewalk along Levante between
Anillo and Escenico TerrdCc: drld there were three change orders totaling
$14,088.20 issued during the contract period, bringing the cost of the project
to $67,986.60. The curb, gutter, nrrd sidewalk replacement program has been
completed and is acceptable to the iltilities and Maintenance Director.
FISCAL IMPACT --- - --
Funds in the amount of $455,903.96 are available in the Street Repair account
to cover the costs of the contract.
