RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 7'1o?,., awarding the bid for office furniture to O'Neill
Envirocorp. · .
ITEM EXPLANATION
The Finance Department has $34,721..71 available in their Capital Outlay Account for a
open office system and miscellaneous office furniture for their new office.
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to Bidders was
published and Request for Bids were sent to three Vendors. Two responses were
receiveq, opened and recorded on January 18, 1985.
Jhe lowest b.id was from O'Nuill Envirocorp, 5152 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, CA
92008, in the amount of $32,081.52 plus tax, for a total of $34,006.41.
'FISCAL IMPACT.
The total cost for the open office systems and miscellaneous office furniture is
$34,006.41, which is well within the funds available in the Finance Departments
Capital Outlay A_ccount.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER
OF FUNDS AND ACCEPTING A BID AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE ORDER FOR OPEN OFFICE
SYSTEM AND MISCELLANEOUS OFFICE FURNITURE.
5 WHEREAS, bids were received for open office system and miscellaneous furni-
6 ture; and
7 WHEREAS, funds for this purpose are available in various accounts in the
8 City Budget and said funds shall be consolidated into the Finance Departments
9 Capital Outlay Account;
lQ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

2. lhat the amount of $15,000, is hereby transferred from the Capital Accoun
14 establi~hed for the purchase of the modular office ~uilding to the Finance Depart-
15 ment Capital Outlay Account to fund a portion of this purchase.
16 3. That the bid of O'Neill Envirocorp, 5152 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad·, CA
17 92008, is hereby accepted and the City M~~ager is hereby authorized to execute a
18 Purchase Order for the purchase of an open office system and miscellaneous 'Office
19 furniture, in the amount of $34,006.41.
