AUTHORIZATION FOR PLANNING COMMISSION
TO ATTEND THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA
CITIES PLANNING COMMISSION INSTITUTE

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 7906 approving the Planning Commission's attendance at
the League of California Cities Planning Commission institute.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Each year the League of California Cities sponsors a Planninq Commissioners
institute where issues of concern to planning commissioners are discussed in
detail. This workshop provides excellent training for new commissioners as well
as for veterans.
This year the conference is in Monterey, California, and will be from February 28 to March 3, 1985.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total cost of this conference for six commissioners to attend will be approximately $3,200.
account will be necessary to fund the total cost of the travel.
A transfer of $1,200 from the Planning Department salary

RESOLUTION NO. 7906
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD AUTHORIZING SIX CITY PLANNING OMMISSIONERS
TO ATTEND THE 1985 LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES PLANNING
COMMISSIONERS INSTITUTE AND TRANSFERING FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the League of California Cities is holding the annual Planning
Commissioners institute in Monterey, California; and
WHEREAS, this conference will be held between the dates of February 28, 1981
and March 3, 1985.
WEREAS, this conference provides the City's Planning Canmissioners with
information and skills reessary to carry out their functions; and
WERES, a transfer of funds is necessary to support the cost of travel
expenses for three Commissioners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
that the above described travel and conference attendance is hereby approved ant
that a transfer of $1,200 is hereby approved from the Planning Department .salar!
account to the Planning Commission travel account.
