ITEM EXPLANATION:
On January 15, 1985 the City Council authorized the City Clerk to advertise for
bids €or the renovation of the Restrooms/Snack Bar at Chase Field.
Contract documents and specifications were sent to ten companies. The city received
two bids. They were as follows:
1. SI-MAC Construction $47 , 178

2. Tri-City Construction

Staff selected the low bid submitted by SI-MAC Construction.
The Project Manager had originally estimated the cost of the renovation to be
approximately $35,000.

Staff has checked the company's references and is satisfied
FISCAL IMPACT :
The total amount funded for the rehabilitation of Chase Field in the Fiscal Year
84-85 CIP budget is $70,000.

~ RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
IZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. PRO01 FOR
CHASE FIELD.
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHOR-
THE RENOVATION OF THE RESTROOM/SNACK BAR AT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Carlsbad, California,
as follows:
1. That the bid from SI-MAC Construction, 8388 Vickers Street, Suite 104,
San Diego, CA, 92111, is hereby accepted and the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute a contract for the Chase Field Restroom/Snack Bar
renovation in the amount of $47,178.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
at a regular meeting held the 19th day of
vote, to wit:
