RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve final map of Carlsbad Tract 83-29, Unit 1.
Adopt Resolution Nos. 7942 and 7943 accepting street rese
vations on Camino Del Las Ondas described as Lot "A" of Pl 8423 and in Grant Deed recorded November 2, 1972 as F
294395.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Engineering staff has completed checking the final map Carlsbad Tract 83-29, an 231-unit condo project located on t west side of Paseo Del Norte, north of Poinsettia Lane f conformance with the Subdivision Map Act and the Carlsb
Condit'ions of Approval and the tentative map as approved
City Council on April 17, 1984, 198, per City Counc Resolution No. 7561.
When the easement for Camino de 10s Ondas was offered by t
adjoining Altamira development, a one-foot "blocker" strip w
not accepted. This in a common practice to control leg access to partially improved streets. We are now aski Council to accept these "blocker" strips. With their acce
tance and with the street dedication on CT 83-29, we will ha full right-of-way on Camino de 10s Ondas.
Municipal Code. The final map conforms substantially with t
FISCAL IMPACT
This project is estimated to generate sewer connection fees
approximately $231,000.00 and Park-in-lieu fees of approx mately $151,074.00 (231 single family detached at $654.00 p unit). The exact amount of Public Facilities Fees are unkno until the applicant submits applications for building permit The project should also generate Water Capital Fees estimat
at $203,280.00.
No detailed economic impact analysis of this development h been conducted. While increased operating expenses related
this development are expected to be offset from increased t or fee revenue, no exact percentage of offset can
predicted.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF_ CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A STREET
RESERVATION OF CAMINO DE LAS ONDAS, LOT "A"
OF MAP 8423
WHEREAS, Lot llA1' of Map 8423 was offered for publi
street purposes and rejected by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Section 66477.2 of the Subdivision Map Ac
states that a rejected Offer of Dedication shall remain ope
that the legislature body may by resolution at any later da
rescind its action and accept and open said street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
determined it to be in the public interest to accept said
rejected offer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correc
2. That the Council rescinds its previous action
rejecting the portion of Camino De Las Ondas, Lot IIA1' as si
